Dining near the water at Rollier

Near Sint-Amands, the banks of the Scheldt treat your inner culinary enthusiast with restaurant Rollier. But also of admiration for the beautiful dishes that are put in front of you. Here, on the rising water with the picturesque village as a backdrop, you will be served pure, ambitious and surprising dishes.

Classic with a creative twist. The typical dishes of the region, prepared with seasonal delicacies that either sprouted from their own backyard or from the region of the still waters. Caresses for tongue and eye.

Tasting eel in Den Amandus

Sint-Amands was another spot that used to have its own landing stage: a mooring where the ships stayed a short while. These days you can stay a while too, for a refreshing drink by the lapping water. 

Dive into the surprising menu. Spoil yourself with some well-chosen wine and snuggle down in its cosy warmth. Den Amandus has a long-standing reputation for delicious fish and meat from the charcoal grill. You'll also find the cherished regional delicacy: tasty eel, any way you want it. Holiday feeling at Trattoria Kaai

Step aboard the ferry in Klein-Willebroek and settle down on the opposite terrace of Trattoria Kaai in Boom, a cozy restaurant on the banks of the Rupel that exudes Italy and is a stone's throw from the De Schorre recreation park. In combination with a home-made mock cocktail/cocktail, you can enjoy a (literally!) super-fresh pizza or delicious pasta with a view of the Rupel and the jetty.

When the weather is nice, you can count on refreshment on the summer terrace Bar Bello: whether you opt for a milkshake or ice cream: with a little imagination you can imagine yourself on holiday.

Enjoy your meal at Elvira

On the edge of the glittering Donkmeer you have the chance to relax and enjoy the legendary home of restaurant Elvira. The Donk is known for its delicious eel delicacies. The live eels enjoy the wonderful waters of Donkmeer, before ending up in the kitchens of nearby restaurants. Next stop: your plate. On a bed of green, with tomatoes, fried with kampernoelie mushrooms, … not only your mouth will water, the water is everywhere. Sit back and relax on the large terrace and bring on those eels.

In these recently renovated premises the magnificent wine cellar has also been extended and they are keen to give you a taste of the goodies. You can try exceptional wines by the glass, including the perfect accompaniment to your chosen dish if you like.
